This Christmas, Portugal welcomes one of Broadway's greatest hits in an exciting new production of this beloved classic! Annie tells a story of a spunky orphan girl who finds a home with a NY millionaire during the Depression, but must dodge the clutches of her evil orphanage mistress, in Charles Strouse (lyrics), Martin Charnin (music) and Thomas Meehan's (book) musical based on the popular Harold Gray comic strip.
The musical ran for over 6 years on Broadway, with nearly 2,500 performances, becoming a global phenomenon and winning 7 Tony Awards.
In this new version, premiering in Portugal this December, audiences are invited to immerse themselves in this memorable tale. The show features live music (band) and a cast of 8 Portuguese actresses, singers, and dancers, including Lily Arriaga, nominated as Broadway Rising Star in 2022.
